England and Wales Local Elections 2024
Labour Gaining
The Labour Party won 1158 seats in the England and Wales Local Elections 2024, the most of any party. This was a gain of 285 seats from the 2023 elections.
Conservative Losses
The Conservative Party lost 515 seats in the 2024 elections. This was the biggest loss for the party since 1995.
Lib Dem Success
The Liberal Democrats made significant gains in the 2024 elections, winning 522 seats. This was the party's best result since 2008.
Green Party's First Majority
The Green Party won their first ever outright majority on a council in Mid Suffolk. This was a historic result for the party.
