TPM Issue? Here's How to Check and Resolve it
Step 1: Access TPM Management Tool
In the Windows search bar, type "tpmmsc" without the quotation marks and select the top result to open the TPM Management tool.
Alternative Method:
Press "WIN + R" on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box. Type "tpmmsc" and hit OK or press Enter.
Step 2: Check TPM Status
Under "Security processor," select "Security processor details." This will show you whether your PC has a TPM chip and its current status.
Troubleshooting: "Compatible TPM Cannot be Found"
If you see this message, it means your PC may have a TPM chip but it is not enabled. To enable it, follow these additional steps:
- Go to "Start" > "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Security" > "Device security."
- Under "Security processor," select "Security processor details."
- Click "Turn on the security processor."
- Follow any additional instructions on the screen.
Once the TPM chip is enabled, restart your PC and check again using the TPM Management tool.
